Detection results decay

Where we publish a detector-panel result, it is true for the tools, the texts and the date stated - nothing more. Detectors are retrained without notice; humanizers are updated on their own schedule. A result from one month can be wrong the next. We recheck every 180 days and publish the date on every result precisely because of this.

We do not certify that any tool is undetectable, and no result on this site should be read as such a certification. Any vendor describing our badge that way is misusing it.

Detector accuracy

Accuracy figures shown on detector listings are the vendors' own claims, reproduced as claims. None has been independently audited. Every detector in the panel (GPTZero, Originality.ai, Copyleaks, Winston AI, Sapling, ZeroGPT) and every detector listed here produces false positives on genuine human writing. A detection result is not evidence of misconduct.

Permission to use a tool

Whether you may use a tool listed here is decided by the rules that apply to you - your institution, your employer, your client, the platform you publish on. This directory does not grant permission, cannot assess your situation, and takes no position on individual cases. See academic integrity.

Prices and features

Prices, limits and features are recorded from the vendor's own pages on the date shown. Vendors change them without telling anyone. Always check at the source before buying, and tell us when you find a listing out of date.
